The photo-etched set of thin brass is an accessory to a plastic kit of the Swedish turretless Strv.103 tank, known as the S-Tank, in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a set of fine metal parts that raise the fidelity of a finished build.
On this unusual tank, photo-etched sets as a rule sharpen the grilles and covers of the engine bay, the fenders, the eyes and clamps, the screens, the small fittings of the hull and the accessories. It is precisely these thin features that stand out at close quarters, and plastic cannot render them finely enough.
Separate the parts from the fret on a firm surface and make the bends along the etched grooves. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting. For an even higher level of detail the set can be combined with a supplementary photo-etched set for the same tank.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
