A photo-etched set of accessories for a model of the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank in the Model 1942 production configuration, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-34 was a Soviet medium tank that combined steeply sloped armor plates, wide tracks suited to mud and snow and a simple design that wartime production could bear. The version with a gun of 76.2 mm caliber is designated T-34/76. The 1942 production configuration came about while production was starting up in relocated plants, and it carries the marks of the simplifications by which time and material were saved at the time.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale intended as an accessory for a model of this tank. Sheet a few tenths of a millimeter thick allows what a cast or injection-molded plastic part cannot manage in scale: thin edges, grilles and small brackets look more faithful after painting than their plastic counterparts. Which parts of the model the set replaces is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts off the fret with sharp scissors or separate them with a blade on a hard surface. Make the bend against a straight edge so that it stays sharp along its whole length. For gluing, use super glue applied with a pin, or epoxy if you need time to align the part. Degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting; otherwise the paint rubs off a smooth surface.
For modelers who build vehicles with an emphasis on detail and are not afraid of working with tweezers. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
