A photo-etched detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for models of the Soviet T-34/76 tank in the Model 1943 version from ChTZ production in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank kit, but a set of fine sheet parts that replace and supplement the simplified plastic elements with more accurate etched ones.
The T-34/76 was a Soviet medium tank armed with a 76.2 mm gun, whose sloped armor, wide tracks and reliable diesel engine made it one of the most important tanks of the Second World War. The Model 1943 version carried a newly shaped cast turret. The abbreviation ChTZ refers to the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (Tankograd), one of the main production works.
The etched parts are cut from the brass fret with a sharp knife, shaped with a bending tool and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). On tracked vehicles the etched parts are most often used on the fenders, grilles, tool clamps and fine hull fittings. Degrease the parts before painting and spray them with a primer.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, which the set does not replace. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
