A set of classic waterslide decals in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a sheet of markings for finishing models of the T-54A, T-55 and T-55A medium tanks. The decals are meant for models of these types in the matching scale.
The subjects are tied to Operation Danube, that is to the invasion of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops in August 1968. The Soviet tanks of the day carried conspicuous white identification stripes and tactical numbers on the occupying vehicles. It is a subject with a strong historical charge.
Coat the area under the decal with a gloss varnish, soak the piece briefly in lukewarm water and, once the backing has let go, move it onto the model. Lay the long invasion stripes on slowly and with plenty of water, use a decal softener to make them take and finish the model with a matte clear varnish.
This is a standalone set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
