Two tables in 1:35 scale printed from photopolymer resin. The Ukrainian maker Spalah has picked out the top and the base on them finely enough that once painted they stand up even to a close look or to a detailed photograph from a short distance.
A scene composes itself around a table. It will serve as a map table at a command post, as a work surface in a repair workshop, as a dining table in a cottage room and as a place where a crew puts its gear down. A pair of pieces gives you the chance to stand one in the middle and the other by the wall, or to leave one overturned in a wrecked interior. The top will moreover carry small things of its own: papers spread out, a mug, a lamp or tools, and the scene gains a story of its own by it.
The top is the largest continuous area of the whole set, so take care over it: it has to stay flat and free of marks left by the supports. After sanding, spray a primer, which will reveal any scratches. Build the wood from a light tone toward darker glazes, suggest the growth rings with a thin brush and lighten the edges. Stains of oil, rings left by vessels and scored grooves make a used piece out of the table.
The surface finish is entirely up to you; the box does not include it.
