Decals for the Tiger I with the turret number 213 in 1:35 scale from WEIKERT DECALS, dated to February 1944. The sheet is applied to a finished, painted model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of one particular German Tiger I heavy tank, which carried the turret number 213 and is linked in the name to the name of its commander Otto Carius and to the date February 1944. It is not a kit but markings for a model that is already built and painted. Check the extent of the sheet and the number of schemes on the packaging.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank from the period of the Second World War with slab-shaped armor, an 8.8 cm gun and a characteristic wide turret. Turret numbers were painted on the sides of the turret and are the most striking element of the markings on a model, which is why sheets of this type are distinguished precisely by them. A separate sheet with the machine number 217 also exists, and the same designs exist at a larger scale as well, so when choosing, keep an eye on the number, the date and the scale.
Finish the model in color and coat the areas under the decals with gloss varnish. Cut the decal out as close to the design as possible, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide on the paper. Settle it onto the model with a brush, draw the water off from under the film and finally use a softener, so that the markings follow the rivets and the seams. Once dry, coat the model with a matte varnish and only then add dust, mud and streaking. The large flat area of the turret forgives little, so place the decal according to the drawing and do not hurry.
It is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
