Decals for the Tiger I with the turret number 217 in 1:35 scale from WEIKERT DECALS, dated to April 1944. The sheet is applied to a finished, painted model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of one particular German Tiger I heavy tank with the turret number 217, linked in the name to the name of its commander Otto Carius and to the date April 1944. It is not a kit but markings for a model that is already built and painted. Check the number of schemes and the size of the sheet on the packaging.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with slab-shaped armor and an 8.8 cm gun. Its tall hull and wide turret offer large flat areas on which turret numbers and other markings were painted; the individual sheets are distinguished by them. Sheets with the machine number 213 and with a later dating of the same number 217 exist as well, so when choosing, check the number, the month and the scale.
Coat the areas under the markings with gloss varnish, so that bubbles do not form under the film. Cut the decal out close to the design, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely on the paper. Settle it with a brush, draw the excess water off and use a softener, so that the film is drawn into the rivets and the seams. Once it is perfectly dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish and only after that apply a patina with dust, mud and streaking.
It is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
