1:35 Tiger Tanker - WWII is a casting of a member of the armored crew of a Tiger I tank in 1:35 scale, executed in resin.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a member of an armored crew is among the most sought-after accessories of all, because an empty hatch on a finished model always gives away that a scene is not finished. Royal Model casts the figure in polyurethane resin and adds photo-etched components for the thin elements that cannot be produced in a casting.
The Tiger I heavy tank carried an 88 mm gun derived from an anti-aircraft gun and its side armor was unusually thick for its day. Five men worked inside and the front pair sat separately in the hull, while the commander, the gunner and the loader served the turret. The crews wore the one-piece or two-piece black uniform of armored units with a short jacket, and when driving out of reach of the enemy they rode with the hatch open, so as to see anything at all.
Never paint the black uniform with pure black. Use a very dark gray as the base and lighten the folds by adding further gray, otherwise all the details merge into one surface. A light shirt, the headphones and the badges will add contrast. Wash the casting beforehand and prime it, bond the joints with cyanoacrylate glue and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge.
In the package is the figure only; the tank, paints and tools are not included.
