An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian Tor M2 anti-aircraft missile system in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model represents the combat vehicle of the system on a tracked chassis with its own radar and a pack of guided missiles. It is a fairly large kit with a high number of parts; check the exact numbers and the marking options against the instructions in the particular box.
The Tor M2 (NATO reporting name SA-15 Gauntlet) is a modern Russian short-range anti-aircraft missile system intended to defend against low and medium-altitude targets. Its main element is a combat vehicle on a tracked chassis carrying a pack of vertically stowed guided missiles and its own radar for both search and guidance. The system is able to destroy aircraft, helicopters, guided missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles and is in service with the Russian forces as well as with a number of other operators.
On a tracked vehicle, assemble and paint the running gear first and only then close the hull. Paint the complex superstructure with the radar and the launcher module in subassemblies, for the sake of access. Bring the base camouflage to life with tonal modulation, emphasize the technical areas with a wash and add dust pigments underneath. An airbrush and liquid cement for plastic are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
