1:35 TOS-1A Multiple Rocket Launcher Camo Paint Mask Set is a two-sheet set of masks for the modern Russian camouflage pattern of the heavy TOS-1A flamethrower system.

Two sheets cover the hull, the superstructure and the block of launch tubes with the pattern these machines wear at Russian exercises. The launcher block is deeply divided and the shapes have to be laid onto it in sections, which the set allows for, so the individual parts are deliberately small in this area. It saves a great deal of drawing in by hand and the pattern keeps the same logic over the whole machine.
The system designated TOS-1A is a heavy flamethrower complex: on the chassis of the T-72 tank it carries a pack of twenty-four launch tubes for unguided rockets with a thermobaric warhead. The range is short compared with a conventional rocket launcher, so the machine operates practically in direct fire and is armored like a tank. It is used against fortified positions, where the blast wave reaches the inside of a structure as well. The combination of a tank hull and a launcher block makes the machine one of the most conspicuous pieces of Russian armament.
The mouths of the tubes are circular and paint is easily drawn into them, so plug them with a piece of foam or modeling putty before painting. Leave a longer interval between shades, so that the tape does not stick into a soft film. Remove them slowly and at an angle to the surface; the edge will then stay really sharp.
