A pair of flat tires for the amphibious vehicle Trippel SG.6, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains two wheels in the rendition with a flat tire. Unlike mere weighting, this is a markedly deformed shape, in which the tire settles onto the rim and the sidewall bulges out to the sides.
A tire shot through or blown out immediately changes the sense of a scene. A quietly parked vehicle becomes a machine that has taken a hit or suffered a breakdown, and the viewer works the plot out for himself without anyone explaining it to him. A pair of pieces matches the way such damage usually shows: as a rule it is one or two wheels, not a whole set.
Intended for makers of dioramas with a story and for modelers who want to show an abandoned or damaged vehicle. It also works well in combination with weighted wheels on the remaining axles.
A blown tire is not enough on its own; a scene is convincing only once the surroundings agree too. An open hood, tools set down or a figure at the wheel will give the scene a reason why the vehicle is standing in just this spot. Without such accompaniment a deformed wheel looks more like a building error.
There are two wheels in the package, and the kit of the vehicle is not included.
