A television set completed with a game console is a typical piece of equipment of a living interior, and in a scene it works as an immediate marker of the setting: as soon as a viewer sees it, they know they are looking into a living room or a room where people live from day to day, and not into a store or a workshop.
Interior dioramas are built more and more often in 1:35 scale — whether as cutaways of buildings for scenes with figures or as separate vignettes without vehicles. It is exactly with them that the density of small equipment decides the credibility: an empty room looks like a backdrop, whereas a room with furniture, appliances and electronics looks like a place somebody has just left. A television with a console suits a living scene, a back area, civilian figures and also as an accessory to a town exterior where an open window can be seen into.
Clean the parts up and try the joints dry — with small objects every irregularity shows. Choose the glue according to the material: cyanoacrylate super glue for resin and printed parts, modeling cement for plastic on injection-molded parts. First cover the surfaces with a filler primer. The cabinet of the television is painted matte or semi-matte, while the screen looks best smooth and glossy — a dark base and a coat of gloss clear varnish, which creates the impression of glass, will help. The small controls and indicator lights can be done with a brush with a very fine point. Suggest dust and fingerprints only discreetly, so that the electronics do not look like a wreck.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
