Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a kit of the luxury Mercedes-Benz Typ 770K (W150) car in 1:35 scale. It is not a model, but an accessory that makes clean painting of the glazing and the wheels easier. The masks are of thin self-adhesive film and follow the shape of the individual areas, so cutting and taping up are no longer needed.
The Typ 770K, nicknamed the Grosser Mercedes, was a large formal car of the second generation of the 770 series (W150). It was an exceptionally sizeable and powerful automobile which in the 1930s and 1940s was used as a parade and official vehicle of the highest state officials. The open Tourenwagen version had a large glazed area, chrome trim and massive spoked wheels.
The masks cover the areas that are the hardest to mask by hand — the windscreen and the side windows and the tires. You thus get a crisp boundary between the glass and the frame and between the rubber and the disc of the wheel.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
