Hauler 1:35 U.K. sand channels is a photo-etched set of British sand channels for models of military vehicles and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal photo-etched set of British sand channels in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Hauler. It is an accessory, not a vehicle model. Allied units carried these perforated steel plates on their fenders and beds so that they could slide them under wheels stuck in sand, mud or snow and get the vehicle out.
The photo-etched plates, with their faithfully rendered perforation, replace coarse plastic parts and are a fitting addition to British and Allied vehicles of the North African and the European theater alike. They work lashed to the sides of vehicles as well as lying loose in a diorama beside a bogged-down vehicle.
Cut the parts off the brass fret, bend them slightly if you like so that they look used, and glue them on with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer. A base in a steel or khaki shade works well, with a wash and pigments over it to lay on dust and mud.
This is a photo-etched accessory, not a model in its own right. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
