Universal Dry 1:35 is a set of laser-cut paper leaves with a neutral shape and a dry autumn shade from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene. It suits anywhere the particular species of tree does not matter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Universal Dry 1:35 set from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene contains fine laser-cut paper leaves with a neutral shape that is not specific to any species, in a dry autumn color. The universal shape is the strength here: the leaves do not tie a scene to a particular species, so they can be used on mixed vegetation, on an indeterminate bush beside a path and as generic litter. It is not a tree but a loose leaf material. The recommended scale is 1:35.
The material is glued onto a wire or natural tree armature, onto a bush of seafoam, or sprinkled loose as litter along a path, at the foot of a wall and into the corners of a diorama. The manufacturer also recommends it as an enlivening addition to combat vehicles and to models of buildings — leaves caught on the running gear, under a fender or in a roof gutter are the kind of detail that makes a scene credible. The dry color suits late autumn, a muddy field track and a winter scene without snow.
Work on a base and with tweezers, as the leaves are very light and fly away. Spraying the armature with thin glue or matte varnish, sprinkling the leaves into it and shaking the excess back into the bag proves itself. Permanent anchoring is provided by thinned PVA glue with a drop of dish soap, applied from above with a pipette. The universal shape takes mixing well — combine it with species-specific leaves so that the vegetation does not look as though it came out of one mold. Once dry, the area can be toned gently with an airbrush or with pigments.
This is a modeling material, not a kit. The glue, the tree armature and the paints are not included in the package.
