1:35 US Army tanker in Pacific service with a trench gun is a separate resin figure in light working dress. It fills out an American armored vehicle in 1:35.

A resin figure in 1:35 from the PANZER ART brand. The subject is clearly set out by the name already: a member of the crew of an American armored vehicle in Pacific service, armed with a short shotgun. It is the weapon that sets this figure apart from the other tankers in the same line — the figure is not at the machine but away from it.
Pacific service means light working dress of firm cotton fabric, of a looser cut, often with the sleeves rolled up. That fabric is stiffer than an overall, so it forms shorter, more angular folds with sharper edges — it is easier to work with when painting, because the shadows have somewhere to fall. In a scene the figure works as an escort for a vehicle, a sentry beside the hull or a figure who has just dismounted. On its own it holds a small two-element diorama well: a vehicle plus one figure.
Wash the figure before painting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a disc, as nippers tear resin. Sanding wet and with breathing protection, gluing with cyanoacrylate glue, the joints filled. Working fabric builds up nicely from a mid olive-brown position: lightened edges, a dark glaze into the folds, and light lightening on the knees and elbows as a trace of wear. Separate the weapon by material — the wood with a warm brown base and a thin glaze for the grain, the metal with dark steel and careful polishing of the edges with graphite. Build the skin in three tones and keep it subdued. The end belongs to a matte clear coat and fine dust with pigment on the footwear and the trouser legs.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
