Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic set of figures captures members of the Union cavalry of the 8th Pennsylvania Cavalry at the moment of the Battle of Chancellorsville. The subject offers a striking action pose of soldiers in the uniforms of the Northern army. The 1:35 scale suits figure display cases as well as dioramas. The maker is the Master Box brand.
The Battle of Chancellorsville took place in May 1863 and is among the best-known engagements of the American Civil War. On 2 May the 8th Pennsylvania Cavalry became famous for a desperate charge in which it rode into the advancing units of the Confederate general Jackson; the charge cost the regiment considerable losses, but it disrupted the pace of the enemy advance and went down in history.
Separate the parts with a cutter, clean up the sprue gates and glue them with cement for plastic. We recommend a primer and painting with an airbrush or a brush; the blue uniforms benefit from subtle shading of the folds and from bringing out the leather equipment. The characters show off nicely on a simple setting.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
