Figures of an American driver and gunner in Afghanistan, 1:35 scale. A crew for a modern wheeled or armored vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set treats a pair of American soldiers on the Afghan deployment, a driver and a gunner. It is this pair that makes up the crew of most modern wheeled vehicles and patrol carriers, so the set fills exactly the places whose emptiness is most striking on a finished model. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary military vehicle kits.
The driver is seated in the cab, the gunner at the weapon on the roof or in a cupola. With both of them the seating differs from kit to kit, so try the figures dry first and only then glue them. An empty vehicle looks static; a pair of crew gives it movement and scale. The composition of the set and the breakdown of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry so that the paint holds. Cut any excess material away a little distance from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder with fine abrasive paper. Choose both glue and paints to match the material of the parts. Paint the face and the hands before you seat the figure in the vehicle, because afterwards a brush will no longer reach them. Shade the uniform from the base tone to the shadows in the folds and finally to the highlights on the edges.
For modelers of modern American hardware who want to man a vehicle with people, and for builders of patrol and convoy scenes.
Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
