Figures of American soldiers in 1:35 scale for completing models of military equipment and for building dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation G.I. is an established nickname for an American soldier, which caught on so well that it outgrew military slang and is in ordinary use. On models the G.I.s represent rank-and-file infantry, that is those who move around the equipment on foot: they ride on the bed, take cover behind a vehicle, carry kit or simply stand about by a halted convoy.
The set brings figures of American soldiers in 1:35 scale. That is the scale in which the absolute majority of kits of military equipment comes out, so you will place the figures straight next to a model without any converting of sizes. Infantry moreover suits places where there is no vehicle at all - a scene with a house, a wall or a ditch.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry out perfectly, so that the paint holds. Cut surplus material and traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down lightly. Attach the small parts and the kit with cyanoacrylate super glue drop by drop. Verify the shades of the uniform against period photographs of the period you are building; the field clothing of the American army differed over time and from one battlefield to another. Paint in thin coats, so that the modeling of the folds stays legible, and finish the faces off with a dark wash into the shadows and a light touch on the raised places.
The set is for modelers building American equipment in 1:35 scale and for builders of dioramas who need infantry in a scene. Neither paints nor glue are included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
