Unpainted figures in 1:35 scale cast in resin. It is the second volume of the range of helicopter crews from Bravo 6, this time with a briefing before the flight as its subject - the figures are sculpted in a quiet composition in which the crew goes through the course of the flight among themselves. It is not a kit of a helicopter but an accessory to a model or for an airfield diorama.
The figures have flight kit: a helmet with a flip-down visor, a flight suit of fire-resistant fabric, gloves and a personal weapon in a holster. The quiet composition of a briefing is rewarding precisely because it can be placed next to a machine on the hardstand and the scene immediately gains scale as well as action without needing extensive terrain. The set goes well with the first volume of the same range, where the subject is the crew boarding the machine.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off, sand the surfaces and protect your airways while sanding resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue; fill the seams with modeling putty. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the flight suit in a subdued matte shade, leave the helmet smooth and work the visor up with a gloss varnish and fine toning - the contrast of gloss and matte is the main effect with flight kit. Before gluing the figures onto the base, try the spacing out, so that the composition of a briefing looks natural.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
