This is not a kit but a resin accessory. The set replaces the wheels of the American M1025 HMMWV off-road vehicle with faithfully cast wheels carrying a Goodyear Wrangler R/T II type tread and a slight flattening where they meet the ground. The wheels are turned into different positions so that the model does not look mechanical. A painting mask is included as well. Intended for models in 1:35 scale.
The M1025 is the armed variant of the American HMMWV (Humvee) off-road vehicle, with an open body for a weapon station. The vehicle proved itself off road and in combat and became an icon of the US Army from the 1980s on. The wheels capture the characteristic off-road tread of the period tire faithfully.
Wash the wheels free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and level the surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use the enclosed mask to separate the tire from the rim cleanly while spraying. Fit the wheels with the flattening facing down and bring out the tread with pigments. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
