A photo-etched brass set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale holding fenders and side skirts for the American M3A3 Stuart light tank of the Second World War period. The set replaces the thicker plastic parts with thin-walled brass with a faithful structure and riveting. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail accessory for the external armor and the running gear.
The M3A3 was a late version of the American Stuart series of light tanks, with a reworked, all-welded hull with sloped armor. Vehicles of this series spread to allied armies as well and were used on many fronts of the Second World War. The fenders and side skirts protected the running gear and the upper track run from dirt and provided stowage space.
Separate the thin photo-etched parts from the fret, clean them up and bend them accurately in a bender or over a steel ruler. Bond them with super glue to the cleaned-up hull sides once the original plastic fenders have been removed. For a realistic look you can bend the fenders slightly or suggest damage. Apply a base coat before painting; the parts will take a strong patina and mud effects.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended for completing a kit you already have.
