US Marine Corps infantry, Tarawa November 1943 1:35 is a plastic figure set from Master Box from the series covering the fighting for the Tarawa atoll.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set in 1:35 scale belongs to the series devoted to the fighting for the Tarawa atoll and holds five figures of members of the US Marine Corps in action. Period weapons and gear come with the figures. The set can be combined with other releases in the same series to build a larger combat scene of November 1943.
The battle for the Tarawa atoll in November 1943 was among the bloodiest episodes of the Pacific campaign. The US Marine Corps landed under heavy fire on narrow beaches and fought hard for fortified positions. The operation became notorious for its high losses and a symbol of how difficult amphibious operations are.
Clean up the figures and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; the dynamic poses come out best once the parts are carefully dry-fitted. We recommend a primer and an airbrush. Keep the uniforms in green-khaki and the gear in brown, and finish the scene with the sand and mud effects that match the setting of the beaches and the atoll.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
