A set of figures in 1:35 scale on the subject of US special forces in Afghanistan. It completes a vehicle model as well as a scene of its own from a modern conflict.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figures are based on the subject of US special forces deployed in Afghanistan. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread in military vehicle modeling, so the figures can be set beside practically any kit of an armored or wheeled vehicle in the same scale.
A figure is the one element by which the viewer recognizes the true size of a piece of hardware. Beside a model it therefore does two jobs: it gives the scene scale and at the same time gives it a story and a direction for the eye. The set can be used as a crew, as accompanying infantry or as the basis of a smaller diorama with a few accessories. The exact composition of the set and the breakdown of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry completely so that the paint holds. Cut any excess material away a little distance from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder carefully, so as not to damage the detail of the equipment. Choose both glue and paints to match the material of the parts. Faces and hands are painted in thin coats from the base tone toward the shadows and the highlights. It makes sense to paint modern camouflage patterns from photographs, because they differed by unit and by the period of deployment.
The set will please modelers who build scenes from modern conflicts and want a human figure beside their hardware, as well as collectors of figures who paint them on their own as a small piece of display work.
Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
