A resin figure of an American tank crewman loading ammunition in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART, the first pose in the range.
Responsibility details are not available.
A standalone figure of an American tank crewman caught in the act of loading ammunition, 1:35 scale, manufacturer PANZER ART. The brand devotes itself to resin figures and accessories for models of military vehicles. The number in the name distinguishes the individual poses in the same range, so a whole tableau can be put together from them. It is not a model of a vehicle but a figure to complete one.
Loading ammunition is one of the most rewarding subjects for a diorama, because it gives the figures a natural activity. The crew works around the vehicle, passing rounds, and so creates the story a static model does not have on its own. Modeling-wise, there is also the attraction that in such a scene a hatch is open and you can see inside. That is exactly why manufacturers offer figures in working poses, not just figures standing at attention.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap to get rid of the release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a knife and wet-sand the mark with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); cement for polystyrene will not dissolve resin. Paint over a thin base. With a working pose it pays to emphasize the folds of the cloth with a wash and to add fine soiling with pigment on the knees and sleeves. A matte varnish at the finish unifies the surface, so the figure does not shine beside the vehicle.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
