The set brings American transport containers for water in the form designated as Monarch, with the year 1942 in the name. It is not a model of a vehicle or a kit of equipment but tiny gear that is added to a finished model or distributed around the area of a scene. The name gives a count of twelve pieces.
Five-gallon containers were absolutely ordinary equipment with American units, just like the containers for fuel. The water form, however, had a different solution of the filling opening: a wide neck with a large screw closure was easier to fill, to empty and to clean, whereas the fuel version carried a narrow pouring spout. It is exactly this difference that is well apparent in one thirty-fifth and gives a scene logic.
They look most natural where soldiers really set them down: at the rear end of a cargo bed, beside a field kitchen, on a step or loose in the grass by a resting crew. A few pieces arranged irregularly look livelier than a lined-up row, and give away at once that the vehicle drove somewhere and stood somewhere. A thought about weight helps too: a full container is carried differently from an empty one, which can be suggested by the lean of a figure and by how it holds its other hand.
