This is a supplementary set of metal tracks, not a model of the vehicle. The set holds individual links cast in white metal, which are joined with wire pins into a fully workable track. It replaces the soft plastic tracks supplied in the base kit of the British self-propelled gun built on the chassis of the Valentine tank in 1:35 scale.
The Valentine was a reliable British infantry tank of the Second World War. Derived types sharing the same running gear were built on its chassis: the Bishop carried a 25-pounder gun in a tall armored superstructure and the Archer was a tank destroyer with a 17-pounder gun turned to the rear. All three variants use the same type of track link.
Clean the casting remains off the links, lay them out one behind another and thread through the wire pins that form the joints. The track can be left workable, or tacked in place with super glue once fitted. The metal surface takes paint better once a primer for metal has been sprayed on; the weight of the links also creates a realistic sag over the road wheels naturally.
A supplementary set — it does not hold the model of the vehicle, glue or paints. Meant as an upgrade to a separately bought kit.
