Wheels with a deflected tire, the type 3 version, for a model of the Volkswagen Type 82E Kafer car. Its own tread pattern, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of wheels for a model of the Volkswagen Type 82E Kafer car in size 1:35, finished with deflected tires. The three in the designation refers to a particular tread pattern; the manufacturer offers several variants side by side so that the modeler can choose according to the photograph the build follows.
German vehicles in the war did not run on one uniform type of tire. Several rubber works supplied them at the same time and units combined whatever was at hand on top of that, so two different patterns could easily meet on one vehicle. It is exactly that mismatch that gives a finished model a stamp of authenticity that a closed kit box cannot offer. The real subject itself, the KdF sedan built on a military chassis, served until the last months of the fighting.
First try the wheel dry-fitted and check whether it sits on the axle stub; fill any play with a drop of thicker glue. Modelers usually mix the rubber shade from dark gray and brown to avoid an unnatural black. Unmask the rim only once it has dried.
You will find only the wheels in the package. The vehicle, glue and the shades to paint them with are bought separately.
