A resin figure in 1:35. It is not a kit of equipment but a separate figure for a scene. The manufacturer also makes a second figure of the same subject and a joint set, so a modeler can choose a single figure as well as a group.
The main work here is in the camouflage pattern on the field clothing. In 1:35 the pattern is not copied one to one but reduced in both the number and the size of the blotches, or the figure will read as shrunken. An approach that works: the base tone of the fabric, then larger dark areas of irregular shape, smaller lighter blotches inside them and finally fine stippling with the smallest brush. Lead the pattern across a fold, not around it, so that the fabric reads as one piece. The pose is standing and calm, with a turn of the head, so the face stays legible and time has to be set aside for it.
Washing in lukewarm water with dish soap first, so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting blocks off, sand the surface, fill the gaps, glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Choose a primer in a shade close to the base tone of the fabric; it will save you a coat. Paint the camouflage pattern only onto a dry base and let the paint really dry between the coats, or the blotches will smear. Use a wash sparingly, as on patterned fabric it easily breaks the legibility up; it is better to bring out only the main folds. Build the skin from a mid flesh color toward highlights, and the eyes with a dark line only. At the end a matte clear coat, which brings the gloss of the pattern and the smooth surfaces together.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The paints, the glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
