A set of wall anchors in 1:35 scale, the Type 2 variant, is a diorama accessory for masonry buildings. It adds to a facade an element typical of older structures.

This item is one of the scenic accessories, not one of the kits of vehicles. A wall anchor is the visible end of a tie rod that in masonry structures joins the outer walls to the floor structure. On a facade it forms a regular row of metal elements, and in 1:35 scale it is one of the most striking marks by which a viewer sees that they are looking at an old building and not at a new one.
It comes into its own on any masonry structure in a scene, whether standing or damaged.
The layout is not random. The anchors lie in a horizontal line at the level of the floor structure and repeat at regular intervals, so mark the line out beforehand and keep to it along the whole length of the facade. On damaged structures it is rewarding to leave an anchor torn out along with the masonry around it, because such a spot explains where the wall tore. An anchor with one end torn loose, hanging from the wall at an angle, works just as well. The set is made in two variants; the look of each is shown on its box.
