This plastic kit captures the British Warrior infantry fighting vehicle. The model in 1:35 scale brings a faithfully shaped hull and turret, the engine deck, well worked-out suspension and one-piece rubber tracks. The box contains decals for faithful markings.
The Warrior was developed by the British company GKN Defence in the middle of the 1970s and entered series production in 1986. The hull is all-welded from aluminum, and the turret with its vertical sides carries a long 30 mm RARDEN cannon supplemented by a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun in an external mount. The vehicle carries an infantry squad and gives it fire support; it has proved itself in a number of modern deployments.
Finish the running gear and the suspension before closing the hull. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic; a primer and spraying with an airbrush are advisable. The rubber tracks can be painted with suitable paints that have good adhesion. For a realistic look use washes and dust pigments on the chassis and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
