1:35 Well-being set

The Well-being set in 1:35 scale for a diorama

A themed set of scenic accessories for a diorama in 1:35 scale. It is equipment for a scene, that is small objects to be placed around a scene beside figures and vehicles. The set carries the original English name Well-being set and is one of the larger sets in this line. Check the particular make-up of the parts on the packaging. It is not a kit and not a finished painted model.

What the set is for

Compared with individual accessories, scenic sets have the advantage that the parts go together thematically and give a scene a coherent character. The small things placed about give a scene scale and hint to the viewer what the space was used for, without your having to hunt down every piece separately. The 1:35 scale is the distinguishing detail in this line: the same set also comes out in further scales and they are not interchangeable, because beside a figure in another scale the small things would not match in size.

Tips for working and painting

• First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water; small accessories are the most sensitive to grease from the fingers.
• Cut the flash and casting residue off with a fresh blade and against a support, as the thin parts break easily.
• Lay the base down in a thin coat, so that the fine engraved detail does not disappear.
• Paint the parts separately while they are still loose, and glue them into the scene only when finished.
• At the end tie the look of the whole group together with a weak wash and a fine pigment, so that the accessories do not look as if they came from a different scene than their surroundings.

Who the set is for

• Builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale
• Modelers who furnish interiors and want a thematically coherent group of accessories
• Figure painters looking for props that give a scene a civilian dimension

These are scenic accessories, not a kit. Paints, glue, a base and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
