A set of injection-molded plastic figures of Soviet Red Army soldiers of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It is not a vehicle model but a set of figures meant to bring dioramas and display scenes with Red Army vehicles to life. The figures are captured in a marching stance and are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
During the Second World War the Red Army formed the ground forces of the Soviet Union, and its infantry took part in the fighting on the Eastern Front from 1941 until the end of the war in 1945. The soldiers are dressed in period uniforms with the equipment and weapons of the Soviet infantry. A marching formation suits scenes of units on the move as well as an escort for armored vehicles.
Glue the figures with liquid cement for plastic and lightly sand the seams once assembled. Spray the base coat over a primer, then finish the faces and the uniforms with an airbrush and a brush. The details will stand out once accentuated with a wash in the folds and with light dry brushing on the edges of the equipment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
