Coelian is the designation of a German project for an anti-aircraft vehicle on the chassis of the Panther tank from the end of the Second World War. It reckoned with a closed rotating turret with quick-firing gun armament aimed at low-flying targets. The project stayed at the proposal and mock-up stage and no series vehicles came about; in modeling it is therefore built as a reconstruction from drawings of the period.
With sets for a closed turret it pays to follow the numbering of the parts in the instructions exactly and to get ahead of nothing. Before you reach for the glue, go through the whole section dry and confirm that the bends seat and that the parts do not overlap in the wrong order. Put small assemblies together on a work surface away from the model and carry them to the vehicle finished. If the instructions show several configurations, decide before you start gluing, because taking photo-etched parts apart afterwards tends to be destructive.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
