Voyager Model 1:35 King Tiger (Porsche turret) - photo-etched exhausts with grilles is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a kit. It adds fine metal grilles for the squared exhaust covers of initial-production King Tigers in place of coarser plastic parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not a tank model, but a photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. It concentrates on the squared exhaust covers with protective grilles of the initial production of the German heavy tank King Tiger (Tiger II) with the Porsche turret. The fine metal grilles replace coarser plastic parts and give the rear of the model a convincing, to-scale look.
The King Tiger, also designated Tiger II, was a German heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War, with heavy sloped armor and an 88 mm gun. Part of the initial production carried a turret of Porsche design with a rounded front. The squared exhaust covers at the rear with their protective grilles are a typical detail that looks far better in metal than in thick plastic.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and bent over a metal ruler or in a bender. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy; cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Before painting it helps to degrease the parts and spray a primer on them for good paint adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
