Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Great Wall Hobby captures the German heavy anti-tank gun Krupp 12.8 cm Pak 44 in 1:35 scale. The model faithfully reproduces the massive carriage, the gun barrel and the shield, and it is intended to be glued and painted.
The 12.8 cm Pak 44 was among the most powerful anti-tank guns of the Second World War. It came about on the basis of experience from the Eastern Front, where defenders called for a weapon able to destroy even the heaviest armor at long range. The 12.8 cm caliber gave it a high muzzle velocity and penetration; the same gun assembly became the basis of the armament of the Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer. Because of its weight the gun was hard to move and was used above all in defensive positions.
Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints, as it flows into the contact faces. Before painting, apply a primer, which evens out the surface and brings out the fine detail. An airbrush is recommended for smooth transitions, followed by washes and pigments to accentuate the rivets, the barrel and traces of dust and mud. Fit the fine parts only at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
