A brass photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a pack of thin brass parts aimed at the late production side skirts (Schürzen) for the Panther tanks in the G, F and II versions. Thin brass sheet allows the faithful bending and hint of damage that is usual on metal skirts. The target kit is the Dragon one.
The Panther was a German medium tank of the Second World War. The side skirts protected the lower part of the hull and the running gear from anti-tank weapons. The late production version and the Panther II projects differed in the form of the hangers and the plates; in practice the skirts were often bent or partly missing.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat. For a realistic look, bend the skirts slightly or suggest damage. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
