A brass photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a pack of thin brass parts with which you replace the coarser plastic items and refine the detail of a model that combines the hull of the German Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J tank with a turret of the Panther Ausf.F type. The set covers both the hull and the turret. The set is intended for the Dragon 6824 kit.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV was the basic German medium tank of the Second World War, and the Ausf.J version belonged to the late production batches. The Panther Ausf.F turret, the so-called Schmalturm or narrow turret, was being developed as an improved turret for the Panther tank. Their combination represents a design project of the end of the war that was never put into series production.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat and bend them in a photo-etch bender or along a ruler. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for easier shaping the brass can be lightly annealed. Apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
