This accessory brings a turned metal barrel for the American three-inch gun of 76.2 mm caliber of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale. It is not a stand-alone model but a detail part that replaces the plastic barrel from the kit with a precise metal one with a perfectly round muzzle and a straight axis.
The American three-inch gun of 76.2 mm caliber was one of the widespread weapons of the Second World War, used among other things on tank destroyers and in the anti-tank role. A metal barrel captures the profile of the weapon faithfully and removes the typical shortcomings of injection-molded plastic, such as a mold seam or a slight bend.
Clean any machining residue off the metal barrel, clean up the seating face and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting we recommend giving the metal a base coat (a primer) and then painting it to match the rest of the model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
