Responsibility details are not available.
This set brings an imitation of Zimmerit for the plastic model of the German heavy tank Tiger I in the mid production version in 1:35 scale. Zimmerit was a paste-like anti-magnetic coating applied to the vertical armor surfaces so that magnetic charges could not be attached to them. The formed photo-etched parts capture the texture of the coating faithfully and are stuck straight onto the surface of the model. It is an accessory, not a standalone kit.
The Tiger I was one of the most feared German heavy tanks of the Second World War, armed with a gun of 88 mm caliber. The mid production version differed from the early machines in a number of changes, for example a different type of commander's cupola and of road wheels. Zimmerit was applied to Tiger Is from 1943 until roughly the autumn of 1944.
Separate the parts and lay them on a degreased surface of the model; glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Work patiently so that the areas follow on from one another. Once they are in place, cover the metal with a primer coat. The texture of the Zimmerit shows to advantage once a wash and drybrushing have been applied.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
