Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the large DON-2N radar building, nicknamed Pill Box, in 1:350 scale. This is not a vehicle but a structure — a massive truncated pyramid with radar faces on its sides, serving as the control and guidance radar of a ballistic missile defense system. Besides the plastic parts the package also holds photo-etched parts for fine detail. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the exact content is given by the instruction sheet.
The DON-2N is a large fixed phased-array radar, the core of a missile defense system protecting a wide area. Its characteristic truncated-pyramid shape carries a large radar face on each wall, so it watches the sky in every direction. The structure ranks among the largest objects of its kind, and in this scale it stands out as an unusual piece for a collection.
Assemble the large walls carefully into right angles and clean up the joints so that the pyramid holds its shape. Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, unify the surfaces with a primer and spray with an airbrush. Concrete surfaces come alive with a light wash and with a dry brush that brings out the texture and the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
