A masking sheet for spraying the decks of a model of the British battleship HMS King George V in 1:350 scale, for the Tamiya 78010 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
HMS King George V was a British battleship and the lead unit of the class of the same name. She entered service in 1940 and her main armament consisted of ten 356 mm guns in two quadruple and one twin turret. In May 1941 she took part in the final action against the battleship Bismarck and for the rest of the war she served with the Home Fleet and in the Mediterranean.
This is a masking sheet for a model in 1:350 scale, cut for the Tamiya 78010 kit. The shapes of the deck areas are pre-cut on the sheet from 3M masking material, so laborious tracing and cutting of tape along the edges of the superstructure is unnecessary. The line the sheet belongs to also offers a richer set with a wooden deck for the same model.
Follow the instructions from the manufacturer and the order of spraying you have chosen. Peel the parts off the backing, seat them on the deck and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not flow under them. The surface has to be clean, degreased and dry beforehand. Apply the paint in several light coats and remove the mask shortly after it has dried, not several days later.
The sheet will be appreciated by a ship modeler who wants a crisp transition between the deck and the surrounding areas and does not want to spend evenings cutting tape. The delivery holds the masking sheet itself; the kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
