PLA Navy Type 039 Song Class SSG is a plastic kit of the Chinese conventional submarine in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Chinese conventional attack submarine of the Song class, Type 039, in 1:350 scale. The model has a full-hull version with engraved detail, a sail with separate diving planes, cradle stands and a choice of extended or retracted periscopes and masts. A sheet of decals is included as well. Paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
Type 039, under the NATO code name the Song class, is a Chinese diesel-electric submarine brought into service from the 1990s. She is roughly 75 meters long and belongs among the first modern conventional submarines of domestic Chinese design. She served as the basis for the further development of Chinese conventional submarines.
In the smaller 1:350 scale, line the halves of the hull up and sand the seams smooth. Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, and the small items carefully. We recommend a two-tone naval scheme and fine accenting of the sail with dry brushing; fit the periscopes only after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
