Project 955 Borei is a class of modern Russian ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) that form the backbone of the present-day Russian strategic submarine force. The lead boat Yuri Dolgoruky entered service after a long development at the beginning of the 2010s. The submarines carry intercontinental ballistic missiles launched from the hull and replace the older Soviet types of strategic submarine.
Glue the hull halves with thin cement for plastic and sand the seam on the smooth side carefully. Decide on a full-hull build on a stand or on cutting the model down to the waterline. Paint the underside with anti-fouling paint and the upper part in a single dark gray or black. Add the conning tower, the periscopes, the masts and the fine details of the long deck at the end; even out the surface with a matte clear coat and pick out the hull structures discreetly.
