You are not buying a model but a painting aid. The sheet holds self-adhesive masks pre-cut to the outline of the deck areas of one particular kit. They are there so that the wooden and the metal parts of the deck can be sprayed in different shades with a sharp boundary, without having to cut the shapes laboriously from masking tape. Check before buying that you own exactly the Hobby Boss 86514 kit.
With masking, everything is decided by what you spray first. The proven rule is to start with the lighter shade, let it dry, mask the areas that are to stay light and spray over them with the darker paint. Light paint covers dark less well and would want more coats, which puts needless strain on the edges of the masks. Allow plenty of time between painting and masking. For acrylics reckon on at least twenty-four hours, for enamels on several days. Paint that is not fully cured comes away with the mask, and putting that right takes more work than the whole masking job.
Touch the deck as little as possible before the mask goes on, as grease from the fingers makes a mask hold worse. Tack can be reduced by sticking the mask once to the back of your hand and taking it off again, which comes in handy on fresher bases. Always press the transition edge down with a blunt tool. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one. Once the mask is off, go around the whole perimeter and correct any slight creep with a sharp-tipped brush rather than by spraying the whole area again.
