Sheets with motifs of household wallpapers in 1:72 scale for lining the walls of buildings on a diorama. At this scale they suit above all as a backdrop in window and door openings.
A building in 1:72 scale can be seen into only through the openings, and the viewer looks into them at a sharp angle. Furnishing a whole room is therefore needless work: a lined panel set a little way behind the opening is quite enough. A window a meter twenty wide works out at about a centimeter and a half when reduced, and a wall two and a half meters high at three and a half centimeters, so only a narrow slice of the room is visible anyway. A backdrop also closes off the view into the empty inside of the model, which a bare card wall cannot do. The work saved inside the model does not show on the result in any way.
For builders of dioramas and models of buildings in 1:72 scale whose structure stands and who have still to settle what will be seen through the windows. The model of the building, the figures, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
