An accessory for a diorama in 1:48 scale: a German battle flag of the Second World War for scenes with vehicles, figures and buildings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The battle flag of the German armed forces of the Second World War behaves differently in a scene from the other accessories. It has no fixed shape, it changes with the wind and with whatever it lies on, and that is exactly how it gives a static scene movement. Modelers use it where they want to place a scene unambiguously in time and at the same time to break up the uniform surface of a vehicle or a building.
The 1:48 scale covers a large part of aircraft kits and a number of models of ground vehicles, so the flag will come into its own in an airfield scene, at a column on the road and in the ruins of city buildings. It also serves as a small thing that fills an otherwise empty corner of a base and gives a scene a clear visual target.
Think the position through before you reach for the glue: a flag draws the attention, and it should therefore not stand in the way of the main view of the model. Light waving and a slight darkening in the folds prove themselves, because a flat, even surface of color looks alien beside the weathered paint of a vehicle.
The package holds this accessory only. The model, the figures, the staff, the diorama base, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
