1:35 Australia - Maps is an ETA diorama accessory with Australian maps for scenes in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Map equipment for a diorama, no model to be glued. The accessory brings maps on Australian themes in 1:35 scale, that is at a size where a map spread out on a hood or on a table becomes a scene in its own right inside the scene.
A map creates action. Two figures over it are at once working something out, pointing and agreeing, whereas the same figures without it are merely standing side by side. Australian maps also name the space: a vast continent with enormous distances between settled places is a subject that bears on planning a route quite differently from a map of a European landscape.
A map spread out never lies perfectly flat, so suggest the creases in the places where folding it would have creased it. A corner weighted down with an object or held by the hand of a figure looks better than a map glued down over its whole surface. When a map is to look heavily used, knock its color back and let precisely the creases lighten. With a map hung on a wall, on the other hand, reckon with it being held at only a few points and sagging between them.
A table, a map case and staff figures are not part of this item.
