The set concentrates on the instrument panels of the two-seat Viggen in 1:48 scale. According to the name it covers both of the versions given, that is the SK 37 trainer and the later SK 37E conversion. On a two-seat machine there are two panels and each looks different, so painting them by hand is especially thankless work here.
The SK 37 was created as the training version of the Viggen with a second station inserted behind the pilot's compartment. The rear seat was given a raised position and a periscope, because otherwise the instructor would not have seen forward, and because of that the shape of the spine and of the fin changed as well. Some of the airframes were later converted to the variant for training in jamming and electronic warfare, which stayed in service long after the attack Viggens had finished. The two-seat machines were thus the very last Viggens in active service.
Assign the two panels to the right station in advance, so that you do not mix them up. The surface under an item has to be flat, otherwise a wave will form in the corners. Once dry, it is advisable to bring the edges out with a thin line of a dark shade, so that the panel does not look flat. Fit the clear parts right at the end, so that no dust gets inside.
This is an improvement to a cockpit, not a complete model of the aircraft.
