A set of cut kabuki paper masks for a model of the B-24J Liberator bomber in 1:48 scale, in the basic BASIC extent.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, recognizable by its long narrow wing and twin vertical tail surfaces. It was powered by radial piston engines. The J version was among the most numerously built and flew in all the main theaters, from Western Europe to the Pacific. The extensive glazing and the number of gun positions make its model a laborious piece to paint.
The set of kabuki paper masks is cut to shape, so cutting out and lengthy taping over are done away with. The BASIC designation distinguishes the basic extent within the line; you will find the exact list of the areas covered in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the masks to a clean, degreased surface before spraying, press them down with a stick or tweezers especially around the perimeter, and only then paint. Apply the paint in thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge. Once it has dried, take the masks off carefully, best of all by pulling upwards at an angle; kabuki paper comes away with no residue of adhesive.
The set suits anyone who is building the Liberator in 1:48 scale and wants the frames of the glazing sharp. The masks are cut for a particular kit, so check in the instructions which one they fit. The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
